A tour of the DGI and BPS online services
Almost everything tax- and BPS-related is now done online. We show you how to log in and what you can do on each portal, with the official links.
Hardly anything happens at a counter anymore: the DGI and BPS have their online services. Once you know how to log in and where to look, you can handle almost everything from your phone. Here's the tour.
First: how you log in
To get in you use your state digital identity (Usuario gub.uy), which you can activate with Abitab's Identidad Mobile, Antel's TuID or the electronic ID card; the BPS and DGI also have their own user. With that you log in securely from any device:
Usuario gub.uy — the state's single sign-onhttps://mi.iduruguay.gub.uy/loginAt the DGI you can…
With your digital identity, in the DGI online services you can:
- See and pay your due dates, and check your debt.
- Check the status of your Certificado Único.
- File sworn returns (e.g. IRPF).
- Operate electronic invoicing (CFE).
At the BPS you can…
In the BPS online services, depending on whether you're a contributor or a worker:
- Check your work history and your contributions.
- Download and pay your monthly invoices.
- Add or remove employees and send the nominalized declaration.
- Start procedures like retirement or subsidies.
One tip
Log in now and then to check your Certificado Único and your debt — that avoids surprises. And to never miss a due date, pair it with your calendar in Tributo, which warns you before each payment.
In short: with your digital identity you handle almost everything at the DGI and BPS without leaving home. Save the official links and always verify information on the portals.
